Nuestras Familias: A Healthy Family Resource Program for Hispanic Families
The program is funded by the Oklahoma State Department of Health; Office of Child Abuse Prevention. The goal is to prevent child abuse by enhancing the family’s functioning, promoting positive parent-child interaction and healthy childhood growth and development. The program offers home-based, center-based and community-based services that are prevention-oriented, child-centered and family-focused as well as The program serves first-time pregnant women past the 28th week of pregnancy and/or subsequent pregnancies and, first-time mothers with newborns no more than one year-old.
